Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

The following terms apply to randzen.com (the "Site"). Acceptance is implied by use, so if they are not acceptable to you, please stop using the Site.

RandZen is a random number and dice generator: it draws cryptographically secure random numbers, integers and dice rolls within a range you set. In practice, it takes values from the browser's secure random source and maps them onto your range without modulo bias, so every outcome stays equally likely even when the range does not divide evenly into the generator's output. This page should be read with that tool in mind, because the limits described apply to what it computes.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from the ranges and counts you set, and it is usually opened for things like picking a winner fairly. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

What this Site does

RandZen offers a random number and dice generator, free to use, together with supporting explanations. Every result is an estimate computed from what you supply, following the method set out on the page itself. These results are for general information and convenience; where a decision carries weight, check them separately.

No professional relationship

Nothing on the Site creates a professional relationship of any kind. You are responsible for how you use any result.

What you may and may not do

The Site is available for your own personal or business use. Do not attack, overload, or scrape it to the point of harming other users, do not pass it off as your own work, and do not use it for anything illegal.

Copyright and ownership

The design, wording and code are ours or used under license unless credited otherwise. Linking is encouraged; reproducing large sections needs written permission.

How the Site is funded

Third-party adverts keep the Site free and external links appear for convenience. We vouch for neither, and neither can change an output.

Service availability

The Site comes as it is, with no uptime guarantee. Tools and pages may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time.

What we are not liable for

So far as the law allows, we accept no liability for indirect or consequential losses, nor for any choice made in reliance on an output from the Site.

Which law applies

The law that applies to these terms is that of the jurisdiction where the Site operator is established, ignoring conflict-of-law principles.

When accuracy matters

Results are provided for general use and carry no guarantee. For anything consequential, verify the figure separately before relying on it.

Accuracy

We take the method seriously and describe it openly, but we cannot promise every output is flawless or that the material stays current. Where a known margin of error applies, treat the figure as an estimate rather than a fact.
