RandZen is a random number and dice generator: it draws cryptographically secure random numbers, integers and dice rolls within a range you set. In practice, it takes values from the browser's secure random source and maps them onto your range without modulo bias, so every outcome stays equally likely even when the range does not divide evenly into the generator's output. This page should be read with that tool in mind, because the limits described apply to what it computes.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from the ranges and counts you set, and it is usually opened for things like picking a winner fairly. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

The nature of this site

randzen.com is an informational site. What RandZen produces are estimates of a calculation, not measured facts and not professional guidance.

A quick answer, not a final one

RandZen is a convenience tool that returns a fast, general answer. Where the outcome carries weight — a figure you will build from, submit or pay — confirm it by other means first.

Advertising and independence

Adverts fund the Site and cannot influence a result. An advertisement appearing here is not an endorsement of the advertiser or the product.

No guarantees

For RandZen specifically, the operative assumption is that your input fits the case the tool is built for. It takes values from the browser's secure random source and maps them onto your range without modulo bias, so every outcome stays equally likely even when the range does not divide evenly into the generator's output. Outside that — and wherever rounding, unit handling or browser behavior intrudes — the Site offers no warranty of any kind; we take care over the method, but the result is what it is.

Your responsibility

Make sure any result suits your own situation before you act on it. If you think something is wrong, the contact page is the quickest way to let us know.
